Meet the Frank Selke Jr. Fundraising Volunteer of the Year!

Special Olympics Canada Frank Selke Jr. Fundraising Volunteer of the Year Award

Frank Selke was a tremendous supporter of Special Olympics in Canada. His ability to forge and nurture personal relationships and to educate prospective supporters about the value of the work done by Special Olympics was unmatched. He was a master not only at advancing the movement but in thanking supporters regularly and sincerely. We honour his memory through the Frank Selke Jr Fundraising Volunteer of the Year Award. Special Olympics Canada makes this award available for annual presentation to a fundraising volunteer(s) who has made a significant contribution to the Special Olympics movement locally, provincially, and/or nationally, and has best exemplified the spirit, philosophy and goals of Special Olympics Canada. We are pleased to announce that Darrin and Ann Butcher, and Edwin MacDonald of Atlantic Tiltload took home the honours of the Frank Selke Jr Fundraising Volunteer of the Year Award at a virtual presentation by Special Olympics Canada on December 2nd. For over 15 years, the Butchers have supported Special Olympics. They encourage their drivers to participate in the Annual Big Rigs, Big Hearts, Big Results Truck Convoy. Through this support, Ann, Darrin and Edwin have raised over $110,000 for our programs.
