We are so close to hitting our goal of $20,000! We have a lot of our athletes, LETR members and friends taking the plunge on Saturday - there's still time to support a plunger!
Join us on Saturday, April 18th for the Nova Scotia Law Enforcement Torch Run - NS LETR Polar Plunge!
11:15 am - Opening Ceremonies at Grand Parade
11:40 am - Torch Run down George Street to Waterfront
12:00pm - BRAVE Plungers take to the stairs at Queen's Marque and the cold water of the Halifax Harbour!
Come out watch, support and cheer on the plungers. Let's fill the boardwalk!
There looks to be a sunny break from the rain this week, just in time for the Polar Plunge on Saturday. (*forecast at the time of making this post!*)

Congratulations Mr. T.
Terry Richardson has been a pillar of Special Olympics Nova Scotia for 40 years. Many in our community will recognize him from around Special Olympics Pictou County, at our Nova Scotia Provincial Games, and at the countless events we host each year. Over the past four decades, Terry has truly done it all—coach, Regional Coordinator, Board Member, event emcee, water boy, parking attendant, and SOOOOOO much more. No matter the role, he has always stepped up wherever needed, making an incredible impact on athletes and our community alike.
Thank you, Terry, for your unwavering dedication, generosity, and the countless ways you have supported Special Olympics over the last 40 years. Here’s to celebrating this remarkable milestone—and to the next 40 years ahead 😉!
