Provincial Summer Games will be returning to the StFX University, July 3 – 5, 2026

Volunteer Opportunities available:
- Medical & First Aid ( at minimum First Aid & CPR required) – stationed at all sport areas and events to help with any medical issues that arise.
- Athlete Meals – assist at Meal Hall to keep the flow of people moving, keeping the tables and dinning hall tidy and ready for the next set of people to eat, assist with carrying trays/plates/drinks if needed.
- Opening Ceremonies – assist in organizing of the athletes/teams for Opening Ceremonies
- Medal Presentations – assist in organizing the athletes as they prepare to take the podium to receive their medals
Sports:
Athletics
- Track – Helping time races or marshal the athletes to the start line
- Shot Put & Javelin – measuring & recording of throws, marshal the athletes to the throwing area, or retrieve Javelin and Shot Put after each throw.
- Running & Standing Long Jump – measuring and recording of each standing and running long jump, raking sand pit after each jump, or marshal the athletes to the jumping area
- Runner – collecting final heat sheets, delivering them to the results area, posting results and delivering them to the medals presentation area.
Swimming – marshalling athletes to their assigned lane, timing of swim heats, or stoke & turn judge.
Bocce – keeping score and pace of play.
Soccer – referees and ball chasers
Basketball – referees
Golf
- On course – marshal to assist in the pace of play and tracking the ball during the 9 holes of play
- Skill Competition – keeping score at the different stations set up at on the practice facility.
