Female Athlete of the Year – Jessica Cranton from Annapolis County Special Olympics
Male Coach of the Year – Peter McCormick from Special Olympics Halifax
Female Coach of the Year – Susan Inglis from Special Olympics Lunenburg/Queens
Team of the Year – Pictou Curling Team (Evan Sharpe, TJ Smith, James Tulloch and Norma Paris) from Special Olympics Pictou County
Dr. Frank Hayden Award – Sandy Morrison Special Olympics Dartmouth
Athlete Community Excellence – Matt Walsh from Special Olympics Halifax
Rising Star Coach of the Yea – Lauren MacRae from Special Olympics Halifax
Volunteer of the Year – Bernadette MacLeod from Special Olympics Pictou County
All of these award winners listed above were also nominated for the Special Olympics Canada National awards. Congratulations to Lauren, Matt, Peter, Jessica ans Brian on being named as finalists for their respective categories.
